Spring time is coming at Lord & Taylor

Here's a pretty spring display highlighting the approaching Bridal season. Thousands of white butterflies made a serenely simple but eye catching display which was used in all windows so it had a continuous sculptural quality.

Trendspotting - Books as trees

here is recent trend we have noted....retailers like to make displays with books - and when really ambitious...make them into trees.

A few examples seen here along with a wall of books all covered in white as the "back drop" for the DJ booth of Macy's Bar III pop up shop where Solange was spinning.

Manikins take over Hermes

Hermes' current windows showcase their heritage craftsmanship and it seems the small manikins are doing all the work!

Wearing little aprons made of leather and canvas, these small articulated wooden people are lending a hand to make saddles, leather goods and scarves.

Fantasy windows are great, especially after the holidays when we see so much emphasis on SALES - this is a much needed treat.
