Embroidered in Gold at Louis Vuitton
Look at these gold spools of "thread" at LV. It appears that they embroidered the walls with this cording and as it hangs off it points the way down to the stacks of gold metal spools. Not sure if it highlights a detail in the current product but overall it was impactful - seen here on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.

Louis Vuitton keeps an eye on the Eiffel Tower
Louis Vuitton, the lovely French fashion house, uses whimsy to convey it's message of luxury. Seen here at The Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan, this window pays homage to it's roots with an Eiffel Tower made out of white boxes that have been drawn on to mimic the luggage collection details. Coupled with the bold use of yellow, this window really pops and shows off it's product in an unusually fun way.A timely window as well, as this Wednesday is Bastille Day..."Viva la France"!!

Up Up and Away!

Here's a cute and simple window idea. We have all seen these foil helium balloons - but in gold, spelling out the brand's name and tied with eye catching ribbon - they become something a lot more elevated and less pedestrian. And with the candy dots background and some cleaver groupings - this was worth a stop and look last week on 5th Avenue.

High rolling at LV

Here's a gamble that paid off. Seen here at City Center, these shots of the Louis Vuitton store, show big gold dice used to highlight some of their leather goods in an animated way.

We love Stephen Sprouse!

And so does Louis Vuitton as seen here in a tribute window to "re"launch the Stephen Sprouse collection of 2009(the late designer, Sprouse and LV design director, Marc Jacobs originally collaborated in 2001) The NY windows have these wonderful neon flowers and bold Sprouse style graffiti on the glass, while the San Francisco store gets the message across in a large format graphic window cling. Both are dramatic and eye catching. It's the 80's all over again!
