Pink boxes rise at Juicy Couture

Juicy Couture is ringing in the season! We can't help but love these bright pink boxes with white trim set for their holiday windows. With a variety of sizes and shapes these towers serve as risers and props.
With a tie in to their holiday packaging - this simple marketing tool makes us hope these boxes are sitting under our tree this holiday!

Banners and Ribbons at Gap and Express

We always enjoy seeing similar ideas at different places and here's a new example.
At Gap, they have made a ribbon "curtain" using 2" thick gros grain and lucite stripes to keep it taut, while adding additional ribbon to mannequins perhaps in reference to the upcoming holiday season.
While at Express, they are using a combination of shiny and matte papers in 12" strips to create a little splash for their new perfume.
Both are simple ideas but cleanly executed and add a welcome burst of color to help catch one's eye.
Note the Pink Ribbon entry below from last week which uses a similar idea and I'll add another version in paper soon.

Guess goes Pink for October

In an ongoing effort to raise awareness of and money for research for the cure, October has been named Breast Cancer Awareness Month and sponsors continue to call attention to this important campaign.

Here 'Guess by Marciano' put a new twist on the classic pink ribbon, which draws attention to the cause - using a curtain of pink ribbons as back drop to it's window. The window features products that Guess will donate a portion of sales to help fund research.
Pretty in pink! (and purposeful too.)

Up Up and Away!

Here's a cute and simple window idea. We have all seen these foil helium balloons - but in gold, spelling out the brand's name and tied with eye catching ribbon - they become something a lot more elevated and less pedestrian.
And with the candy dots background and some cleaver groupings - this was worth a stop and look last week on 5th Avenue.

Holiday is startin' all dressed up in tartan!

Tis' the season for bad puns...sorry.

But I do love these festive windows with their bright, pop colored boxes and happy tartan ribbons at Eddie Bauer. Paired with natural looking trees and strings of light - bring it on!
We believe indeed.

This holiday display is all "tied up"!

A truly lovely holiday "gift" display seen here at Victoria's Secret Michigan Avenue flagship store.
The entire store is tied up in pink bows and ribbons of every variety - from the peekaboo windows with the ribbon curtains, stacked gifts with bows, fanciful ribbon trees to the entrance with the large pink garland garnished in satin adornments all the way though - to the inside table top displays and each area of the store - there is something to delight at every turn.
A wonderful effort and one that really inspired me to want to shop for the holidays.

Colorful Christmas

Perhaps in an effort to be optimistic these holiday windows are bright!

However, the brand is bold too so the effect is powerful. With topiary trees and towers of signature boxes wrapped up in ribbon, these windows feature a bounty of product to support the seasonal flair. The branded boxes used as risers as well as visual enhancement help give the viewer tons of gift ideas, exactly as good windows should.

Wow them first and then tell them what to do!

All tied up in ribbons!

We can't stress enough how great it is to see consistency in a store's presentation! When a brand cares enough to tie there marketing, visual merchandising, product display and advertising all up together, we care enough to notice!

(even saw a marketing photo where the girl had a ribbon bow in her hair and the frame that was displaying the picture had a similar ribbon bow as a prop- now that is consistency!)

And it's nice to see signage hanging from ribbon, rather than clear fishing wire, especially when it ties into the product. Aerie definitely had it's eye on the details and this back to school install is all tied up!

Ta DA!!

Bring on a little drama to help cool the heat in the city and lure customers in!

This elaborate ribbon dress was used as the backdrop for accessories in the window of Henri Bendel's. Viola!

Bright Colors for a Telluride Holiday

These bright colored packages really catch your attention and accentuate the clothing very well. The custom tartan ribbons match clothing patterns throughout the store to really tie the theme together with the visual presentation. The custom propping, lighting, and holiday greenery brought the background print media into the forefront of this festive set.

ribbon, ribbon, everywhere

Who doesn't love ribbon? It dresses up a package, adds an elegant detail to a jacket and can be fashioned into endless bows and shapes. Here we see two examples of 'ribbons as prop' and they both do a great job of adding drama to the product - which afterall should be the focus. But, it's true what they say, "wrapping CAN make or break a gift" and that is often all in the ribbon.
