Here's one we sadly missed - it seems David Stark teamed up with West Elm to create an installation, The Purely Paper Flower Shoppe, in one of their New York stores for only a few days last week. And I had to read about it on Shelterpop.com! (thanks to Laura Fenton and Patrick McMullan for the photos)
Love this whimsical wonderland all in paper - from newspapers to old book pages and beyond. Objects like plants, flowers, birdhouses and ferns are folded, collaged, layered and shredded - and those topiaryies are amazing! Wish I had seen it in person but let's enjoy the photos anyway.

I got roped in...
But I will go back as these were great. Rope macrame plant holders holding large scale paper plants. Can you stand the 70s vibe?
and the 'rope art' tree. oh, love that!

Up Up and Away!
Here's a cute and simple window idea. We have all seen these foil helium balloons - but in gold, spelling out the brand's name and tied with eye catching ribbon - they become something a lot more elevated and less pedestrian.
And with the candy dots background and some cleaver groupings - this was worth a stop and look last week on 5th Avenue.

Light the way - clothing as Lanterns
Here's an idea spotted in 2 very different locations - one was a trade show in Asia and the other was a store window in the US.
What do you think? Is it effective? Does putting a light inside a shirt make it a lantern and /or highlight the clothes - or does it turn it into something else?
what do you think?
Illuminate me.
