I 'heart' visual puns!

very youthful but eye catching and fun! Who doesn't love a store that pushes Valentine's Day? - with all that red its a welcome replacement for the grey sky. And we love the 'writing on the mirror idea' which translates well to the store window. Makes me want a new outfit for February 14th (or at least a new pair of lips)

Go Green - repurpose your props!

Here's a way to extend the life of your props, get more bang for your merchandising dollars and keep visuals out of the landfills - reuse and re-purpose props and marketing ideas. This retailer used these shelves and frames in windows at Christmas time and then reused them in January. It had a very different look and is still eye catching to consumers.

Screaming SALE does not always draw the crowds

It seems like all we see these days are SALE signs. This used to always bring a smile to the face of the consumer. Now (especially in the cold post-Christmas months), the giant red SALE signs are expected.

Common themes do not grab the attention of consumers. SALE signs are a common theme.

Be different. Show people that you are not a victim of the bad economic times and spice up your window displays. Bright spring colors/themes will draw the eye of the consumer more than another boring sale sign.
