For the love of Kraft at JCrew

How can such a basic paper be so elegant? See how in JCrew's most current store window. Kraft paper is woven with a bit of gold foil to create a grid-like backdrop. We've seen different versions of this concept in the past at Burberry with their lattice squares and at Club Monaco using kraft paper.
But this presentation just seems right to help highlight their fall collection - a simple idea executed so well!

Uptown Girl by Rachel Zoe at Bloomingdales

America's most notable stylist, Rachel Zoe has launched her clothing collection and Bloomindale's gave her window space to make a splash.
She does a nice job of telling a story through propping and the windows have a pleasing affect. From the mini Eiffel tower, to disco balls in a British phone booth - the themes of leisure and playing come through nicely.
Head over and see what this Uptown Girl is up to.

ID'ing Our Curves at Levi's

Tape measure curtains are hanging in Levi's fall windows to promote the brand's Curve ID category. Ladies of all shapes and sizes can be measured and fitted to the right jean. We love the idea and love their windows just as much!
Pictured here are some compelling day and night photos of these effective windows - another great backdrop idea!
We're ready to go get our Curves IDed! How about you?

Ecomm gift card boxes, baubles and tissue

Gift cards are continuing to grow as a way to give a gift will allowing the recipient a little freedom to choose. But brands are finding they need a way to give the gift card while tying it back to the brand and giving a better presentation.
Viola the gift card box! This gives the card a safe and secure presentation that can be hot stamped with the brand logo and allows room for tissue or embellishments if desired.
Here we see a branded, interleaf tissue, a custom bauble tie on and a token gift. We gave these out at a trade show but would be happy to

help you custom create your own.

Attack of the Little People...again

We've been seen this visual trend all over the city! The use of the articulated manniken to highlight products.
To introduce her new fragrance Diane, at Bloomingdales, Diane Von Furstenberg will be hosting an event and used them to help announce it.

We find these little mannikens charming and when used well, enhance a window in a simple way. Here they are awaiting an autograph. Stop by and see them for yourself!

Levi's shines during Fashion Night Out

Fashion Night Out was Thursday September 8th and many in NYC (and around the country) were out to celebrate and support retailers. Levi's put on a good show in it's Meat Packing location.
We love these wooden skyscraper/ skyline buildings - because the scale is so great and the lighting was terrific.
Love the simple drama of this one - a good example of a the extra effort many of the retailers took.

A Room with a View at Club Monaco

Club Monaco's new fall windows are so wonderful. They created a room within in each window with the use of molding and chair rails, collection of vintage paintings, knick knacks and taxidermy. The effect is collegiate, old world and whimsical but in an elevated way.

We love how this makes you stop and notice and then go inside to see what else is there. Remember getting the customers into the store is half the battle and we think this window did it's job!
