Sail beats Sale!

It's so refreshing to see visual merchandising efforts increasing and this February we saw a lot more nods toward Spring activities than Sales. Here at Gant the nautical look inspired by sails, lines and life rings said bye (buy!) bye. Sail on!

Tree Glee

We love this happy tree cut out in wood and decorated with little wooden birds. It's whimsical and warm and offset by the pink painted background and floor covered in pink French dragees (jordan almonds). Mmmm signs of spring.

Cupid draw back your bow....

Here's an over the top Valentine's installation at Juicy Couture. A bounty of paper hearts shares the window with cupid and his arrows large and small.
Love is in the air!

Anchors Away!

How's this for a little whimsy? These anchors seen in Saks Fifth Avenue's main windows on 5th, are large scale 'pillows'. Grouped in with the mannequins wearing the latest spring dresses, these personified props made me want to head for the shore.
In the 50th Street windows were these nautically painted pilings with cleats. Simple, creative additions to bring a maritime feel to this urban window.

You've got Mail!

Mail some love to your loved ones this Valentine's Day - that seems to be the message at Tiffany & Co!
Red lined envelopes and painted mailboxes set a great backdrop for this "postal" theme.
A wonderful example of a little prop goes a long way!

Paper flowers for Spring

A 3D element is always a welcome addition to windows and helps bring marketing to life. This window is highlighting some new products that one would assume smell like flowers and these paper representations really tie up the whole idea nicely.
A little effort goes a long way!
